Jeff Johnson was a retained fireman with the Kent Brigade. He met up with Blackwall's pump crew while they were on standby and chatted up firewoman Kate Stevens. He and Kate began seeing each other but it emerged that his main interests were rock climbing and hiking. She soon broke up with him.
He was played by Michael Fenner and appeared in episodes 4, 6, 7 and 8 of series 4.
