Jean Quigley was the long-suffering wife of Firefighter Bert 'Sicknote' Quigley, who appeared in London's Burning from the pilot movie until series 12.
Biography
Jean is 20 years younger than Sicknote.
Like Sicknote, she shares his love for amateur theatre and often appeared in various productions.
In series 11 Jean became pregnant but in a subsequent episode she suffered a miscarriage.
Mrs. Quigley agreed to foster a child with Bert in series 12, which they did until Sicknote was killed in the line of duty.
As the producers decided to not air a funeral for Bert Quigley, Jean didn't appear in series 13 onwards and there was little or no mention of The Quigleys in episodes after Sicknote's death.
