Frank Petrie was the ADO (Assistant Divisional Officer) of the London Fire Brigade, with Blackwall one of the stations under his command. He only appeared twice in the show: once in the pilot to tell Sidney Tate that Ethnic had been promoted to Leading Fireman at Archway, during which he witnessed Josie Ingham returning to the station after a prank and again when he retired at the beginning of series 2 and moved to Swanage, Dorset. He was succeeded by ADO Scase.
