Episode Summary[]

Remy wants to make dinner for Kevin but he has to cry off because he is on duty that night. Jean is holding aerobics classes for OAPs. Billy is back on duty after his caustic soda accident. Maggie has found her wedding ring. A man and a woman plant a letter bomb in a pharmacy set to go off after closing time. However, they see the manager return to the shop and the woman rushes in to warn him about the letter bomb. She is too late and is thrown back by the blast.

Blue Watch arrive and a BA crew pull out the woman, she is burned but conscious. Sicknote informs Nick that the damage inside is more like bomb damage so Nick withdraws the BA crews. He talks to the woman and realises that she is the one who planted the bomb. She insists that they only planted one bomb and that the manager is still inside. Hallam doesn't believe her but Nick reluctantly agrees to send a crew back in to look for him. They find him, but he is already dead. Back at the station, Nick warns Hallam never to question his orders on the fire ground again. Billy returns home and finds his mum waiting for him. As she and his nan do not get along, they go out to have a chat, where she tries to explain why she left him.

Jenny calls up Hallam asking to see him again. Kevin and Remy spend the night together. Laura is set to return to Scotland with Ben and Jamie. Recall refuses to go with her and they row about it. Ariadne's parents Costas and Evgenia offer to babysit Costas for Nick. Jenny brings round her thesis for Hallam to read. They get closer and are about to kiss when she spots Geoff peering through the window at them. At the next shift Bayleaf is chirpy as the restaurant has been inundated with applicants for waitresses. Two CID officers arrive at the station to question Kevin about Micky. He admits that he saw Micky recently but says nothing else. They are interrupted by the bells and race off to the shout.
