Episode Summary[]

The first shout is to an industrial estate where a man is trapped in a chimney after trying to rescue a cat. Blue Watch arrive and free the man and the cat. Jack learns that Stephen has been injured during a school rugby match and visits him in hospital. Nick is feeling the strain of living with Marianne and his in-laws. As Blackwall's centenary is approaching, there are plans to hold a celebratory event. Pearce and Sicknote both want to be in charge of it, so as a compromise Recall accepts the task instead.

News of new planned rank restructuring in the Brigade reaches Blackwall; the post of Sub Officer will be abolished at stations with both a Station Officer and a Sub Officer, and the Sub Officer will be moved to another station. Pearce is delighted with the news, but Carole is put out as it will mean a move away. Blue Watch are then called to a camper van which has fallen and trapped a man underneath. George walks out on Kelly and goes to live with his sister Beattie. Geoff calls round at Sandra's house again. She finally snaps at his overbearing friendship when he implies that she is in a relationship with her boss, and tells him to back off.
