Episode 7 (series 10) is the seventh episode of the tenth season of London's Burning. It was first broadcast on November 9, 1997.
Episode Summary[]
Marianne is not getting on with Evgenia. She goes to the station to meet Nick from work. Recall is being driven mad by Clingfilm playing the tuba. Sicknote is enjoying using his metal detector and gets chatting to a married couple on their allotment. He finds something and digs up an unexploded hand grenade. He quickly tosses the hand grenade away but unfortunately it blows up the couple's allotment shed. The station soon get to hear of it and Sicknote is nicknamed The Blackwall Bomber.
The watch are called to a house fire where a boy is trapped. They pull out a boy but the mother realises it is her son's friend, not her son, meaning he is still inside. Nick sends the crew back in, but by the time they pull the boy out he is dead. George blames himself as he missed a turning while racing to the fire. Kelly returns home from her holiday from Spain and George is convinced that she has had an affair. It is the talent night at the Ship Aground. Geoff invites Sandra Hallam and Marianne appears with Nick. Pitbull becomes violently ill after consuming a lot of lager, Clingfilm plays the tuba and Sicknote and Maggie perform a duet, but Gregg steals the show with an impressive rendition of 'Wind Beneath My Wings'.
