Episode 5 (series 7) is the fifth episode of London's Burning's seventh series, first broadcast in the UK on ITV on October 2, 1994. In the episode, the search for Ben continues, Clare inherits some money, and Sicknote takes up golf.
In the mess Kevin and Billy row with Pearce about him using milk when he hasn't paid for it. Billy fills the milk jug with salt before Geoff pours it over his cornflakes, but he doesn't notice. They are called out for a small fire in a pillar box and Pearce lectures a group of laughing kids for damaging letters and private property. Recall asks the whole watch to distribute missing posters about Ben. Even Donald wants to help finding him. Patti barges in on Hallam with the excuse of borrowing some eggs though she only tries to seduce him again (without success).
Clare learns that she has been bequeathed £30,000 by an aunt of her previous husband. Patti calls in on Laura but only succeeds in upsetting her further by tactlessly suggesting that Ben could be injured somewhere. Sicknote goes golfing with his new friend Douglas and his mates, but he vanishes half way through the game when he realises all of Douglas' friends are senior officers in the Brigade. Ariadne marries Petros despite her feelings for Nick. While asking around for Ben, Donald gets beaten up by some young thugs. Recall and Laura go searching for Ben in the West End. Blue Watch have to tackle a huge blaze in a boiler house which spread into a laser quest arena. Ben, who is roaming Soho, is terrified by a weirdo who seems to be following him and seeks refuge at Soho Fire Station where he is finally reunited with his parents.
