Episode Summary[]

During a fire safety inspection at a hotel Chris Hammond finds a man in a gorilla suit handcuffed to a window cleaner's platform at the roof of the hotel. It transpires that the man is to be married later that day and was left there by his friends after his stag night. Hammond goes down to help him but as he lands the platform, the rope snaps and Hammond is left dangling from the platform, he yells at the man to come and help him but he is too scared. Dan has seen what has happened and tells Sicknote to get onto control and request another pump while the others get into their fire gear.

George and Dan get up and drop two lines for them. As the man has rescued Hammond, they get hooked up and Dan sends down some bolt cutters. As Hammond frees the man the platform falls, they get pulled to safety as the bolt cutters fall, Sally goes over and Sicknote pushes her away as the platform falls. They all return to the station, where Hammond is lauded for his James Bond-esque heroics and the others all sing the Bond theme to him.

The groom whom Hammond rescued takes revenge on his best man for the earlier stunt by supergluing his hand to a car door. Blue Watch are again called out to assist and Pearce lectures them about wasting the Brigade's time with their juvenile pranks.
