Episode 2 (series 3) is the second episode of London's Burning's third series.
Episode Summary[]
Blue Watch play another prank on Colin. They have persauded him that he has to monitor radioactive particles in the local atmosphere and that he must sign the Official Secrets Act. They fear they have been rumbled when ACO Bulstrode arrives, but to their surprise he joins in and even countersigns Colin's written commitment to sign the OSA.
John Hallam is sent on a training course, while Josie is now acting Sub Officer at Charlton and takes charge of a tar spill. Blue Watch arrive and Tate is impressed with her command of the situation. Later they are called to deal with a fire on a ship. Tate is furious with Colin's gung-ho attitude about the ship fire. When they realise a crew member is unaccounted for, Malcolm leads a crew into the foam filled engine room to find him.
Maggie has passed her driving test (at the sixth attempt) and as a present, Blue Watch decide to refurbish an old car for her. Unfortunately, it is still parked in the yard when Bulstrode arrives with the Lady Mayor. Malcolm explains that the car is being used to practise for RTAs, so Bulstrode orders them to remove the roof. Kevin is left to explain to Maggie that her car is now a convertible.
