Episode Summary[]

Blue Watch are still at the train fire and continue to find more casualties. Once the shift is over, Recall confides in Jack that his marriage is effectively over; he'll be driving up to Scotland to take the last of the children's belongings to them. While out shopping Pearce bumps into Sandra Hallam and they have a cordial conversation about how few successful marriages there are in Blue Watch. Sandra bitterly remarks that the Brigade takes husbands away, one way or another. Gregg returns to the art gallery where Blue Watch recently dealt with a flood looking for Tiggy, but she isn't there. Carole confronts Martin about the hit-and-run incident involving their car. She knows it wasn't stolen and that Martin was the driver.

Jack attends an open day at Stephen's boarding school. He knows that Stephen is unhappy at the school and bickers about it with Linda and Ian. While there he also befriends Hilary, the mother of one of Stephen's friends. Sicknote visits a Chinese doctor and comes back with a herbal tea to cure his skin complaint. Carole visits the police station to get her car back and learns that the cyclist who was injured in the accident has taken a turn for the worse. She and Martin argue about it in the street and he shoves her over. Billy visits his Nan in hospital.

George is finally fit again for work after the crash and returns for the next shift, but Kelly is uneasy about him resuming active duty. Georgiadis is informed by DO Chapman that he will be going on an exchange visit to the Netherlands next week. Sicknote is still persisting with his Chinese herbal tea, though it evidently tastes disgusting. During an RTA drill, a woman from the block of flats across the road frantically rushes into the station. She has locked herself out of her flat, but her young daughter is still inside and the iron has been left on. Blue Watch are eventually able to break down the door and rescue the child. Carole returns home to find Martin has trashed the place and left her. Billy goes to the hospital to see his Nan, only to be told she has died.
