Episode Summary[]

It's Friday the 13th and everyone is expecting weird things to happen. Beattie cracks three double-yolked eggs in a row. George is still fretting that Kelly will ask for a divorce. Billy is on leave. The watch receive a postcard from him; he is having a good time but may not be returning to Blackwall. The pump crew are ordered to stand by at Upham.

A woman named Fiona arrives to install the new quieter sirens on Blackwall's appliances. At Upham, the first shout is to an apartment building where identical twins are trapped in separate elevators, which causes some bemusement. Carole confides in Jack about what happened when she was stationed at a station neighbouring Upham as a probationer. The crew back at Blackwall try out the new sirens. The shout is at the woodlands where Sicknote and his new friends have been camping.

Some of the electrics at Upham are not working, so Gregg finds the fusebox and sees one of the breakers had been removed. He puts it back in and the power returns. They are summoned to a car on fire. The car is moving on its own with no driver. Gregg manages to climb into the car and stop it. They return and find Upham station is on fire. They put it out and Gregg realises he must be responsible when he sees the fusebox was the seat of the fire. The home crew return and Carole comes face to face with Dalton again. She enjoys telling him that she will be his new boss.

Sicknote and Jean realise that the planned alternative route for the road he and his friends have been protesting about will be going through their back garden. George visits Kelly and they make up.
