Brigade boat FireFlash is racing down the River Thames with Dan, Sally, George and Pearce onboard and have been called out to assist the police. George starts to moan about feeling seasick, but the others joke about it. They put out the fire and rescue a man, who is more concerned that a cashbox is still on board. While the PL crew are checking fire hydrants in the middle of the red light district. Sally and Dan find the box, which contains the man's wife's ashes. En route back to Blackwall, Recall spots Vicky and slams on the brakes. Unbeknown to him, she is working undercover as a tart. To prevent him blowing her cover, she knees him in the groin.

After work, Pitbull taunts Recall about the incident with Vicky, while Dan, Recall and George are still teasing Joe about marriage. Coleman spots Maggie waiting for a bus and offers her a lift. Vicky arrives at the pub and tries to explain her undercover job to Recall. Hyper shows Sally his flat, and she tells him that she is still unsure about marriage. Fiona discovers that she is pregnant. Kelly walks into George's gym and accuses him and Andie of having an affair. Andie throws her out. George tries to apologise to Andie for Kelly, and they end up kissing. Pearce is still trying to come to terms with Fiona's pregnancy.

At a Chinese cash and carry, a security guard's stubbed out cigarette ignites and traps three children inside. The watch settle in for the night shift and sit down to eat. Geoff announces that Fiona is pregnant. Sicknote doesn't take the news too well. The bells go down and as they arrive at the scene the warehouse is engulfed in flames. Dan rescues one of the boys, but the others are still trapped. Hyper, Dan, Sally and Sicknote are sent in to get them. A leaking oil drum ignites. Coleman tells Hi-Ho to keep the jet on the tank as DO Griggs and the Fire Command Unit arrive. DO Griggs then arrives and takes command. Suddenly, fireworks start going off. Hyper and Dan find the other children. Coleman pulls everyone back but Griggs orders him to send the BA crews back in. Coleman argues against this, and Griggs accuses him of insubordination. ACO Chapman then arrives and overrules Griggs' order. Sally finally tells Joe she will marry him. Before the crew have time to withdraw, a huge explosion rips through the building and knocks them to the ground, leaving Sally, Joe, Dan and Sicknote unconscious.
