Episode Summary[]

Kevin rushes back to the boat after his shift. Remy is fine; she overpowered Micky when he tried to attack her. Kevin gives a statement at the police station and spots Micky being led away, they exchange insults and have to be restrained. MIcky taunts Kevin that women "always leave him". Kevin nonetheless refuses to press charges. Hallam calls round at Pearce's house to pick him up for work and is surprised when Patti answers. Maggie tries out one of her self defence techniques on Billy and nearly immobilises him. Kevin tells Nick that Micky is going back to prison. Nick thinks he should still come clean to Maggie.

George pays a visit to Bayleaf's restaurant. The opening night is approaching so George stops at a local fire station and meets some retained firefighters, whom he invites to the restaurant. Geoff is still suspicious about Patti's motives for returning. Kevin goes to see Maggie at home and admits that it was Micky who attacked her. Maggie tells him she is actually grateful as it meant she met Derek. Remy sails away on her boat. Geoff returns home and overhears Patti talking to a man on the telephone. Kevin discovers that Remy has gone. He finds her farewell letter and snaps, trashing his boat. He turns up at the Ship Aground drunk and Jaffa refuses to serve him. Recall and Billy carry him home. They spot Remy's letter and realise what has happened. Geoff follows Patti when she goes out and sees her with another man outside a hotel. When she comes home he throws her out, Patti tells Geoff that he was "never worth it" and leaves.

The police arrive at Blackwall to speak to Maggie. They show her a photograph of Micky. However, to spare Kevin she tells them that he wasn't the one who attacked her. A motorist suffers a heart attack at the wheel and causes a pile up. One of the cars crashes into a telephone booth trapping a person inside. While the watch deal with the fire, Nick battles through the smoke to rescue the man in the booth. Most of the watch, with the exception of Geoff and Kevin, attend the opening night of Bayleaf's restaurant. Laura unexpectedly turns up and is reconciled with Recall. Sicknote starts singing "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" and everyone merrily joins in. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Kevin packs his bags and leaves Blackwall.
